Presented by Young ITA
Co-hosted by Pinheiro Neto Advogados and WilmerHale
As global trade continues to expand, jurisdictions are fiercely competing in what is known as the "battle of the seats" to become the preferred venues for arbitration. This event will feature representatives with experience in some of the most popular seats chosen by LATAM parties, who will showcase the unique benefits their locations offer as arbitral seats.
The panelists discuss recent arbitration cases, the supportive legal frameworks, and the impartiality of their courts. They also cover the role of national courts in supporting arbitration, the grounds and statistics for challenging arbitral awards, and the integration of technology in arbitration proceedings. Additionally, practical considerations such as costs, geographic location, and the availability of skilled arbitrators and legal professionals are addressed.
#YoungITATalks is a series of local events presented around the world, featuring talks, workshops or interviews that cover a wide range of subjects relating to arbitration. The #YoungITATalks series is designed for education, conversation and sharing knowledge and experiences among young practitioners.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, this event is tuition-free and includes a welcome coffee, followed by drinks and canapes. This is only an in-person event.
